The Whiskey Rebellion is hosted by Frank Cogliano and David Silkenat. Frank and David both teach at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. 

 

A native of Massachusetts, Frank moved to the UK in 1992 and has been teaching at Edinburgh since 1997, where he is a Professor of American History and Dean International (North America). A scholar of the Revolutionary era, Frank has published extensively on Thomas Jefferson, including Emperor of Liberty: Thomas Jefferson's Foreign Policy and Thomas Jefferson: Reputation and Legacy. He is also the author of a textbook, Revolutionary America, 1763-1815: A Political History, now in its third edition. 

 

Born in NYC, David moved to Edinburgh in 2013. He is the author of several books, including Raising the White Flag: How Surrender Defined the American Civil War. He is the Chair of the Scottish Association for the Study of America.
